Just to clarify, sources part of the article. Not all of it. And that’s definitely an Osprey in that video. It’s not that unusual, it’s almost like people here don’t realize that there are actual living human beings that post here and comment here that lives for decades in Washington DC. We know permanent barricades when we see them, we know barricades that have been there for 20 years, we know what planes and other aircraft frequent the air space, there’s clearly something strange going on but 99% of what’s being reported here is every day operations in DC.

Not quite sure what the article is talking about. The USMC account has been active. It has not gone dark. Questionable publication. I will make one comment though. The banners for USMC and the Space Force are black/white while the others are in color.

You actually aren't allowed to deploy the military on US soil. That's why the National Guard exists. It's called the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878.

I thought the marines were the only division directly under control of the executive branch. POTUS does not need congressional approval to activate USMC.

That is incorrect. The Marines are not a separate organization under the command of the executive. If any branch were, it would be the Coast Guard because they technically under Homeland Security. The marines are part of the regular US military, the President does not have special powers over them.
