From the Senate interview of FBI Agent Stephen Laycock, released yesterday:
Christine Kavalec (State Dept) contacted FBI agent Stephen Laycock, (head of Eurasia investigations) after her October 11, 2016 meeting with Christopher Steele. She told agent Laycock that Steele's info was false -- where Steele claimed Russian intel was coming from a Non-Existent consulate in Miami. Laycock promptly contacted Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka (Special Agent 1 in the IG report) on the Crossfire Hurricane team and relayed this information. More confirmation that the Crossfire Hurricane team knew Steele was a fraud BEFORE they sought the first FISA on Carter Page.
