Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is mulling whether to launch a Friday impeachment trial for President Trump, as the US House of Representatives moved on Wednesday to vote on one article accusing Trump of "willfully inciting violence against the government of the United States" ahead of last week's 'riot' at the Capitol which left five people dead.

If the Senate votes to convict, Trump could be removed from office just days before his term is set to end, according to Reuters.

Under the U.S. Constitution, impeachment in the House would trigger a trial in the Senate on whether to oust the president. Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had previously suggested no trial could begin until the Senate was scheduled to be back in regular session on Jan. 19, only a day before Trump’s term ends and Democratic President-elect Joe Biden is due to be sworn in.

Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, have pressured McConnell to agree to bring the Senate back under emergency circumstances to take up Trump’s impeachment before he leaves office. -Reuters

I've occasionally heard that Mitch is a traitor but I just didn't think it could be true.

It is.

No question now. It will be interesting to watch how many more fully expose themselves.

Yep, he's a traitor. You should have heard him on the Senate Floor right before the riots broke out. Total Traitor.

But in his defense, I did see a recent photo of him someone posted on twitter where he came to work all banged and bruised. Bruised mouth like someone slugged him. Bruised right hand. Staff refused to answer questions and Mitch got super angry when people asked him about it his bruises. So looks like someone beat him up to remind him "whose boss".

That was allegedly from around Nov 23rd or so. He was unwilling to discuss when asked about it.

Probably right on that one. These scumbags are all weak puppets. I would die before I'd betray the American People.

Update From ZeroHedge

”Update (1257ET): According to the Washington Post, McConnell is done mulling - and has decided not to convene the Senate for an emergency trial - meaning the Democrat-controlled Senate will do so during the Biden administration.”

Yes patriots, Mitch with the Chinese wife and Chinese shipping company, race horses and a life-long swampster, is a traitor. Wonder no longer why or how traitor McConnell had all of those judges approved.

This has to be some wacky theater. Impeachment has never happened this quickly. The House impeaches with the votes and the Senate has the trial. So what are they going to mount now--a Stalin Show Trial where the President has no attorney and no evidence is presented? As maddeningly stupid as this is; it is also incredibly sinister. Because what this shows is that we are Poland, 1980; we are in the USSR circa 1954, and we are in China, literally under Mao. They have made the law a joke.
