Henry Ford Health System officials told Bridge Michigan they could not find enough participants to continue studying whether the drug could help beat back the deadly pandemic.

Ridiculous.

This drug has the potential to work really well if it is dosed right and given as soon as symptoms show. Like several other drugs, in typical doses it is effective against typical viral loads. Leaving the disease untreated for a week after symptoms appear leads to very high viral loads that cannot be inhibited by typical doses. One or two days may make a difference in many cases.

Unfortunately you can’t increase the dosage much with HCQ as it stresses the heart, especially in people with bad heart and kidney function.

Many have pointed out the potential of HCQ to cause long QT arrhythmia in old fucks with these problems. But that is a problem that can be easily monitored in the hospital and is treatable with high dose magnesium.

There are several reasons to take magnesium if you are at risk for severe covid but another is that healthy magnesium levels will help prevent some of the problems HCQ exacerbates. Use a high absorption form like Mg L-lactate. Cheap forms like mg oxide and mg carbonate dont absorb.

Add magnesium to your covid kit because its good for reducing the “cytokine storm” anyway.

Ivermectin is a better drug than HCQ. Also cheap and well tolerated.

They are at about the same price point.

And guess what? They aren’t counterindicated. 2 doses of ivermectin plus 5 days of HCQ at 400 mg should be safe for almost everyone and will work better than IVM alone. Its a better combo than hcq +az or ivm + doxy
