In the last election, 51.9% voted for the Republican Party, and 38.6% voted Democrat.
So there was really no rush by liberal state officials to collect the ballots for the 2020 election.
In fact, there is still a ballot drop box on the sidewalk near city hall.

I often copy/paste the first 2-3 paragraphs of the article I'm posting in the description, that gives readers a snapshot of the direction of the article and they can decide whether they want to read the whole thing. "more ..." means there is more to read in the article, click the post title to pull up the article to continue.
I will end with "fini" if I copy/paste the complete text of the article within the description, no need to click the title (unless one wants to click hyperlinks to tweets, parlays, links or source info within the article.)
