"Compromized" is the right word, it was not "hacked". It was an Amazon admin who thought that he can fight Nazis by releasing the backup. Amazon has missed to install basic security against inside jobs. Same with Twitter and other IT companies, they have too much trust in their IT staff, this will hurt them in the end. If highly politicized admins can leak information because encryption keys are not secured, then Chinese and Russian spies can do it too. Amazon wanted to host DoD data? What a crazy idea ...

It WAS a honeypot from the get go. This was posted on voat several times and it's been said on here that the folks running it were datamining right wingers. There were warnings and people trying to get the word out, that's why I've never had a Parler account.
