Statement from Acting Secretary Wolf on NSSE Designation Release Date: January 11, 2021

The Acting Secretary released the following statement on the National Special Security Event designation for the inauguration of President-elect Biden:

"In light of events of the past week and the evolving security landscape leading up to the inauguration and at the recommendation of Secret Service Director James Murray, I have instructed the U.S. Secret Service to begin the National Special Security Event operations for the 2021 Inauguration effective Wednesday, January 13th instead of January 19th. I don't think the criminals in congress were planning on being fenced in like caged Predators! Looks like all we need is to add some Razor wire facing in, then cut all lines of communications and TV. Boom - Prison! :)
