According to the Constitution, the agreement which is the basis for any and all other laws within these (currently) united States, the Second Amendment does not grant anything. Rather, it is a formal recognition that an American citizen's pre-existing right to own, wear, bear, and use firearms is an absolute Right, which the government has no lawful authority to regulate - or prevent. The words are "shall not be infringed". Even Clinton would find it hard to make that phrase mean anything else. Any attempt by anyone, government or not, to infringe this Right is a crime. It doesn't matter how the politicians and the obsequious dress it up, an infringement is still an infringement. To date, the American populace has put up with laws and regulations implemented to "keep us safe". Now, we see those laws and regulations never (as the historical record maintained by the FBI amply demonstrates) "kept us safe", and how they are actually intended to strip us of our Rights. After all, without firearms and the ammo and other equipment needed to use them, we don't have any Rights. All we have then are privileges, which the tyrants can ignore as they please, as they are attempting to do so now. When the social contract called the Constitution is so obviously broken, that means they are not honoring the agreement and that means no one else is obligated to honor it, either. It will soon become time to stop holding back. Politeness is one thing, but obsequious stupidity is something else all together. That being the case, I would not want to be a cop, a District Attorney, a Judge, or God Forbid, a politician who is identified as one who has violated the contract.
