Remember maybe a couple years ago, the pope was waving to people after a speech or something and the matrix glitched and he disappeared out of thin air? I feel like even if he has been arrested, they'd be able to make people think he hasnt been using whatever they were using when that glitch happened.

That was a photoshopped video. He was standing outside a dark doorway and when he went inside it looked like he just vanished into thin air. I did a frame-by-frame analysis and found that a few frames had been removed.
