Android is Linux Google can't stop you using the apps you want just download it from other appstore or website.

You are correct, you can side load whatever you want on Androids. It isn't specifically because its Linux...you can do this with Windows Phones too. Its that you just can't do it with iPhones because they have their own proprietary OS and have locked things down. Just yet another reason Apple sucks.

I just installed this APK. Make sure you "Allow from this source" or "Install unknown apps" is set then download Parler APK (mega.nz). I then transferred it from my PC over to phone SD card then went and found it with "My Files" and just click and allow from this source. Hope that helps

I still use an iphone 6 and it has not been updated in 248 weeks.

I get a notice about once a month now telling me "time to update this phone has not been updated in 248 weeks " was the last one.

Android is owned by google. Android = google garbage = CENSORSHIP. Some of you will remember way back in 2008 and afterwards when google garbage was DELINKING all searches that had to do with Obummer being Kenyan born and afterward became an Indonesian citizen, never had his own SSN, failled E-Verify, Failed SSNVS, a foreign student or a proven fraud. When using a different search engine, those links exposing Obummer were all there. That's when we banned anything to do with google garbage spyware. Its all about controlling what people think they know.

Agreed but we have to find an alternative. Right now we are left with 2 bad options for "smart" phones. I wonder if there is an alternate OS that could be loaded on the Android phones.

Unfortunately their hardware is software specific. I know that there are some true Linux phones available but not very common. I sure wish we could have real LINUX laptops or desktops instead of bloatware Windows 10.

Nonetheless, most people are too addicted to their so-called smart phones, they have all their lives recorded on that phone and their minds are too weak to part with it. They could just switch back to a new flip phone available from several manufacturers, that never needs software or firmware updates, you can take pictures with it too, the battery will last well over a week. Day and night, smart phones are constantly downloading, updating and uploading all your files to their servers for analysis by digital algorithms, oh that's the part that they don't tell you. You have to constantly charge the darn things and the battery only lasts a few days with a full charge, they are bulky to carry and don't fit right in your pocket. In addition, you can read their LEGAL TERMS where they even admit of the dangers of high frequency magnetic radiation emitted from these things and how children must not be exposed and to set on airplane mode if kids are using their tablets. So bottom line is that you have very few choices if you don't make THE hard choice. Otherwise BIG TECH will always control your life.
