Next auto-update will shut down your ability to hear the emergency broadcast system.

I did a software update on my phone this morning.

I just checked and under my settings for Presidential Alerts I see: "Presidential alerts are mandatory and can not be turned off"... there isnt even a slider to turn them on or off.

I have an LG with Android 8.0 and it doesn't give me many options. I can only show an Icon badge/or not, or Allow Sound/or not. Doesn't give me categories like Amber Alert or Presidential Alert or Weather Alert. That's why I said it may only be Apple, but we all need to be aware of the possibility.

Wow, history happening right in front of our eyes. What a time to be alive. Open rebellion fighting for their lives

No idea what the pic is, but, I have suspected for years that those "updates" are nothing more than uploads of your information.

They don't need to update your phone to get at any of your information that is on the phone. That functionality is already built-in.

It's a picture of the post on Parler, instead of the actual link.

Anyone have experience rooting android? Gives you full access to the operating system. I've tried it on a couple phones without success. It worked on my old Samsung mini, but nothing else since then.

Depends on the phone model. The more popular models usually have a method, whereas cheapo carrier-specific models are unlikely to be supported by community hackers because they don't own one. Just search your phone model on the xda forums. That's the best place to find what you need.

You cant turn off updates on an andriod.

Found a way. It's in developer options. Mine has it. https://8kun.top/qresearch/res/12437173.html#12437522
