If the CCP is smart they'll get on the ball and start pointing out that the original samples were given to them by a u.s. scientist. That way it puts the u.s. in a double bind: push the "its chinas fault!" narrative and also implicate the u.s., or drop the issue.

...hoping DOE is not looking to destroy evidence..... I thought Dr Francis Boyle said it was UNC that did some heavy lifting in the gain-of-function research... not sure what piece Alabama has(had).
