Stand back a bit, and assess what has taken place today from a distance. The Capital fairly lightly protected, as if the access was almost planned. From the images posted, there was no looting, graffiti, damage to the Capital - as compared to the AntiFa protests in Portland and Seattle. Peaceful. The conservative demonstrators were made to feel pretty unwelcome into the DC area - hotel room cancellations and the like - with the AntiFa protesters bused in under police protection. Then the brief skirmish of violence - followed by the very predictable denunciations from the democrats, main stream media, etc. Just wait till tomorrow when the Congress re-convenes, the denunciations will be fierce and unending.
Also, when the deployment of federal forces - the FBI SWAT teams were deployed inside the Capital - the video shows, as my wife observed, they were on a Sunday afternoon stroll around the park - facial expressions showed no concern in the least. Weapons were not at the ready, they were not clearing anything. They were on a walkabout.
This was certainly appears that opportunities were created and things were "allowed" to happen. This was all designed to take what anything the conservatives were to do and flip the narrative - we have been played and gamed.
As usual, the MSM reporting is amplifying everything negative. Definitely going by the 'peaceful protest' doctrine that they used during the Summer of Love.
Yes, and they’ve reconvened at the Capitol Building and of course all the usual suspects of Dems are speaking out against Trump, blaming him and saying how “dangerous” he is.
