In my so-called "red" state you can't point a gun at someone unless your life is in danger. There is no duty to retreat. He now has no right to own or purchase a gun.....thank God.

in minnesota to buy from dealer you have to be approved to purchase, that runs through county. TBH, I do not mind that as it can stop a lot of domestic abuse, or people with violent backgrounds from getting a gun.

It really is at discretion of the officer, and how the fire arm was used. A hand down hunting rifle, no one is going to look twice... just keep it cased ammo seperate out of reach.
