I have checked this site pretty much daily for the past many years... this is a minor storm, nothing more. https://www.spaceweather.com/

Yes, my dad is a ham and says you can talk all over the place when the atmosphere gets all riled up... something about propagation of the signals, they skip along much farther then they normally would.

It's good to follow sun related space weather but this one is a nothing burger. Get worried when it's earth facing "kill shot" X flare.
