In normal civilian life, sure, I agree.

In military matters, the Gulf Cooperation Council is already breaking down those traditional dividing lines.

And by heavy lifting, I mean a military counterweight to Iran. We don't need to leave 2 carriers parked in the Gulf at all times, nor significant boots on the ground, if we can rely on the GCC to mitigate any Iranian aggression. The Saudis were doing a middling job of that by themselves...one could argue a poor job if you look at Yemen. But now they have significant help.

When do we anticipate Saudi victory in Yemen kike? It's interesting that the Saudi's can't even project power in their own peninsula.
