HOW was her term not finished? She didn't run for re-election did she? She could resign I suppose. I don't see the benefit of this. cosmetic?

On top of Harris still in the Senate, democrats really started to panic about Kamala not becoming VP, when rumors started to swirl around DC that she was still blowing people in elite circle to try to get ahead.
