The former part is sweet to read. With Trump cleaning house for the last 2 years, there's a very good reason they are "former" defense chiefs.

Former defense chiefs, otherwise known as typical swamp creatures from the military industrial complex, who have a revolving door between government service and lucrative defense company jobs. Of course they do not want Trump. He might cut off the gravy train.

If they can't escape the Capital I guess they'll have to hunker down in a bunker under the Capital.

If the White House has one there must be one under the Capital Building.

Plenty of tunnels under the Capitol that leads people to the surrounding office buildings.
