Trolling is beneficial both to online communities and to the world outside of the internet. These benefits include online community bond strengthening, encouraging social development skills, and putting a focus on relevant issues going on in the world.
Deviant social behavior can be adapted by those looking to make a positive impact in society, looking not to stain or scar an issue, but to shine a spotlight on it, forcing the topic into the news and giving society an update on issues at the forefront. A troll will target the most fertile, hot-button issues to garner the most attention possible. One person's sport or prank quickly becomes society's next sociological hurdle.
AKA: End justifies the means.
I disagree with that mentality. Its abhorrent.
The means of being "naughty" on the internet is not something to leave sleep over.
I agree. I abhor lying for so many reasons. It ruins the fabric of our family connections and societal trust.
