You make two reasonable points: 1. This was a copy-paste of a post I had made a few weeks ago (and re-used a couple times) when this topic started becoming a thing. Time has advanced since then. Although in my examples, Biden didn't resign until Jan 15. 2. I don't know whether any of them took an oath of office, but I agree it is not something that makes sense. At this point, the other arguments about certification probably apply. I think we'll find out either way pretty soon.
