Exactly Patriot, what has me asking question is a map of Antarctica reportedly made in the 1500s that was accurate with lakes and rivers ??? and they did not have ground penetrating radar until the 1950's.

I always found that fascinating. An interesting point is that the 1500's were a warm period in the middle of the Little Ice Age. Don't know if it was enough to thaw the continent. Perhaps Hanno (or someone else) got there before all of them and it's his map passed down. These days, seems like anything is possible.
