I always found that fascinating. An interesting point is that the 1500's were a warm period in the middle of the Little Ice Age. Don't know if it was enough to thaw the continent. Perhaps Hanno (or someone else) got there before all of them and it's his map passed down. These days, seems like anything is possible.

Patriot, I found it interesting also , but they claim under ice for the last 15 million years. which then makes it impossible to explain right now.
