As a former soldier and former law emforcement, I'd like to think you can put 100% faith in these institutions...but that would be foolish. There are shitbags in every walk of life, for every LTG Flynn, Admiral Rodgers there is a Vindman, Mattis in the military. Backing the blue gets harder every day when they stand down and let animals burn and loot, but arrest people who gather too many in their own homes (LA) or enforce an unlawful assembly in Oregon.

If vindman or mattis pulled their shit in a time of war they would have been shot, after a summary CM, of course. Law enforcement in the cities are led by absolute frothing lunatics hellbent on total control of the masses, the cops don't need these sociopaths taking a personal vengeance upon them, so they reluctantly follow orders and show results. I'm not saying it's perfect either way, of course there are psychos all around us but it really isn't a fair comparison.

Trust the troops. Volunteers all. That know they could be asked to pay the ultimate price.

God I hope so. We all have been let down so many times. This is it. I understand why it had to be the military, I just hate that it is coming down to the wire like this.

Well, many of them had their votes switched, so they've gotta be angry. Trump's restructuring at the Pentagon must have had a purpose as well. If he did not intent to use or require the support of the DOD/Military, then why bother cleaning house at the top?
