Patriot, I noticed the same with price and availability that you listed. Even seen sales, and early on with the Pandemic, they even had some sales as they feared they would lose business, but within a week or two, they went full price, when they caught on, people were buying. I had a friend wanted to buy the same rifle I have, and I bought it on the sale, and he hesitated, but ended up paying about 300 dollars more as the sale was gone. Told me I got mine at a great price. That's why I did not wait. I have to admit I was surprised they would have a sale as I was hearing people are buying more firearms during that same time period.

When I retired from the SD, I still stuck with Gold Dot that I carried when I was with the SD, pay a little more, but great and proven ammo for decades.

as you pointed out, I have never seen these type of shortages in the past, and even told friends and family this during this time period, there were people who told me they never thought they would ever need to buy a firearm called me and told me they had. Basically I had given up that they would buy one, and so many surprises and changes of peoples attitudes was amazing to witness also.

Bottom line is, the only thing that has kept them from taking over years ago is the fact we the people are armed.
