I tracked it and it only stayed on the ground for about three hours before returning to DC.

The tanker a DC10 flew on by once the VP's plane set down in CO. The thing was on the return trip I didn't see any escort as in a refueling tanker.

Maybe Pence cut a deal. He walked away from the negotiating table last night, and now he's back again?

Pence was in Vail vacationing before the sudden trip to Wash DC New Year's Eve. His family was probably still back in Vail, and Pence went alone to Wash DC? So now going back to pick up the family? But the change in call sign is intriguing.
