I believe that Trump is already using more extreme measures.

Why do you think he's asking everyone to come to DC on Jan. 6th?

Why do you think he's planning to make a big announcement there?

What do you think he might announce/reveal?

What happens if Biden is arrested for treason before that date?

What do Pence's actions matter if Trump is already guaranteed a second term due to Biden's arrest?

I believe it's all a show at this point. The bad actors are the main audience and it keeps them focused on the illusion until they're rounded up.
