If anything, Trump knows how to evaluate and use people effectively. I think you miss the fact that much of what you see/hear is purely for optics. Lin Wood is not responsible to the public for what he says, like Trump is. If you're led to question or believe what you hear him saying, think about how the enemy is reacting to it. Think about how that affects their decisions.
