I have seen reactions to VOAT. And now VOAT has come over to POAL, I continue to expect it. Probably was happening here at the same time. Tens of thousands of researchers with a wide variety of expertise. Essentially similar to crowd sourcing. I have also seen course corrections when we run down the wrong tunnel.
