Hal Turner is famously unreliable. A shame, because a lot of what he says would be very nice narrative if true. But it isn't hard to go find his past stuff and see how far off time proved it to be. Always the unnamed super-well-placed sources with the hot stories that never prove to have legs. (Maybe someone can name one of his news scoops that did, but I can't think of one.)

He's like Whatdoesitmean.com, except it's his various alleged contacts instead of a report circulating in the Kremlin today.

And he's the source (second-hand at best) for this one.

The story appears debunked because there is no evidence they met in person that day.

The idea would require a secret meeting for which somehow (as is typical of him) Hal Turner's guy happened to be outside the room. How convenient. Happens all the time with him.
