The term slave has its origins in the word slav. The slavs, who inhabited a large part of Eastern Europe, were taken as slaves by the Muslims of Spain during the ninth century AD. Slavery can broadly be described as the ownership, buying and selling of human beings for the purpose of forced and unpaid labour.
Other useful facts:
(1) Africa invented slavery (Egypt). If people reject this in discussion ask them how the pyramids were built.
(2) White Britain ended slavery, at great cost, and were not a slaving nation.
(3) The Arab slave trade from Africa was bigger than that to America, yet there are no sizeable black populations in the middle east (13% in America, mostly descended from African slaves). There is one good reason for this which is that Arab slavers castrated all African slaves, the Americans did not.
Now you know who the racists are
