https://www.defense.gov/Explore/News/Article/Article/2457350/pay-for-some-will-decrease-to-cover-social-security-deferrals/source/GovDelivery/ At the end of this month, the 2020 Social Security tax deferral will end.

Beginning in January, the 6.2% Social Security tax withholdings will again be deducted, and there will be an additional deduction for the deferred 2020 Social Security tax collection that has been in effect since September.

Most service members and Defense Department civilians have had their Social Security taxes deferred. That money will now be automatically deducted from paychecks beginning in January until the amount that has been deferred is collected by April 30.

Checking myPay without a CAC card is a pain in the ass especially when you need to change password every 120 days or so. Apparently this only affects AD and not us retired types. WTF was this deferment all about anyway? Seems like far more trouble for people than it was worth in the end.

shows exactly what Congress thinks of its own nations Military Service Members.

If, and that's a big IF, people understood it was a deferment and not a break, then they thought they'd be in better shape by now. How many really expected 15 days to turn into 15 months? If TPTB have their way it'll be 15 years, decades, centuries of this shit!

Student loan payments also start up again. At least, I don't have to pay back a tax deferment. That was actually a pretty shifty deal.

Congress can change it they make the laws.. This goes to show you exactly what they think of those serving and have served
