How about an explanation?

The 224th Military Intelligence Battalion flies the Guardrail aircraft (C-12R) which does signal intelligence (SIGINT), and is based at Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield. The airframe is cutting donuts (flying in circles) in the sky right around there. More than likely, they are doing training missions.

I would agree but they are flying around the Redstone Arsenal and that base is under Force Protection Status: Bravo. But of course I have no way to say for sure it's not a routine mission, just taken with all the other increased flight activity and the higher alert status I have to wonder.

What does "back on station" mean?

Just that it went back to the same area as yesterday and began flying a big circle around the same area over and over,
