I do not believe that story about God wanting to destroy was referring to the true God of creation. That story was from the Torah, which was written by the Levite priests in Babylon.
The true God doesn't work that way. He creates and allows his creations to work out their own predicaments as part of their evolutionary growth and development. This is why he creates multitudes of the same things, in order that variations in free will and circumstance can provide many possible solutions. It is through learning and habit that all his creatures follow the best coarse through trial and error.
The unique situation with humans is that we have the ability to think and plot. This gives us the ability to choose to act in ways that are evil. They go against the natural order. No true God led any humans to kill for him. They kill for themselves and make up a God to blame it on. These were Joos who wrote these stories, after the fact. They created a false history for themselves that put them in favor with a higher power. They call themselves divine and in direct communication with God, while the rest of the people are not. This all leads to their ideas of being a superior race (which they are not) and dominating the world as its rightful rulers (which they are not).
allow only God to show you what you need to know, do not call evil to show you.
This makes perfect sense. The Bible is not the word of God, not even the first five books of Moses in the OT. It was written by men who seek to control. The real God speaks to us directly through our hearts and minds (intuition). We must use our ability to think and imagine in balance with our understanding of natural processes. God teaches us those processes through our observation of his works. The kabala is Jooish sorcery. It uses mystique and the illusion of secret power to lead it's users along a controlled path.
Patriot, the Torah led to the Bible which led to the Koran , it may be true, we have Babylon and two cities God destroyed as a reference.
It also comes down to free will. and when it all goes bad with free will choices, God appears to always be blamed for it. So many people have been involved with the Bible, interpretations to what was accepted and not accepted, unless we get the first one, we may never know what is really in it. the Bible is a story that tells us what happened and what will happen and a guide on the right way to live. and we must live it accordingly.
The Bible tells you that it's alright to kill in the name of God.
That's not the right way to live.
I agree Patriot, I suspect that part was manipulated.
