Nah. It gets cold, things break, switches stick, too much snow and ice on the track. Railroads are feeling the pinch right now too, all it takes is a busted tie and a small amount of ballast washed out or a new operator that goes a bit fast and you get a derail.

Not how it works. I ran maint. Departments and worked on heavy eauipment for 20 years.
The rail by my workplace has a washed out bed in one spot and so much muck in another the max speed is pretty much dead slow. Road maintenance refuses to fix it, they just go lol go slow.
