Complaint file in Federal Court 12/22/20 (democracydocket.com)

If I read the Document correctly VP Pence is listed as a Defendant not a Plaintive. Are there any Legal Professionals here that can take a look at this? I hope I am wrong, I have no experiance with Federal Court filings.

I am not a lawyer, but the first group are the plaintiffs; the second, the defendants. And you can tell he is a defendant by searching for his name, and on page 17 you see the following:

>B.Defendants19.Vice President Michael Richard Pence is a Defendant sued in hisofficial capacity as President of the United States Senate. As such, Pence is identified as having legal obligations under the Constitution and federal law regarding opening and counting the ballots of Presidential electors for President and Vice President.

Does that mean he is bad guy, or is his inclusion just a procedural addition?

So far as I can tell, it just means that a bunch of groups from the other states are suing the apparatus responsible for the certification and selection process. Pence is on there because in his capacity as President of the Senate, he would have a part to play in validating the fraud committed by the other states.

The purpose of the filing is to receive an injunction from the court to stop the electoral count process, of which Pence is a part of. He is a defendant by procedure.

Listed as a defendant.
