Been trying it out and I don't much like it.

No sense of community.

Little of interest gets posted.

Works poorly.

Hard to figure out.

Reminds me of Twitter.

Gab started fine, but, I think it went sideways into a shadow banning place.

It isn't shadowbanning if you don't know how to interact with people by joining groups, replying to gabbers, helping out when you can and having civil conversations about stuff..

Gab is WN and Q twitter. There isn't a sense of community because Torba blew it all up trying to make the app stores and eCelebs approve the site. What was once a free speech site was turned into a twitter alternative with safe spaces for right wing eCeleb faggots to hock their grift.

They just introduced gab.tv, 5 years past due, so maybe things will start trending the other way for gab, but we'll see.

Yep. You pay the bucks for premium and you can get the goodies. Neon Revolt has a lot of influence it seems.

Backed away from that guy when he started trying to tell Q how he was wrong. Little did he know!

I thought Gab was a just another Twitter knockoff like Rumble? I don't have any use for Twitter, so Gab didn't sound like an alternative for me either. Like you, I am looking for something that is a community of like minded individuals that are interested in having more than superficial exchange.

Everyone is just posting from the same news outlets over and over. Little to no research.

[–] 2 pts

You are right about that. Reposted articles and retweets. No one seems to have an opinion or thought if their own anymore. It is a sad commentary on where we are. That is why I appreciate sites where exchange is taking place. For sure, they are all too rare.

Thanks for sharing that. I trust your evaluation and we are looking for similar things. You saved me the hassle of trying it out. I am not on twitter, facebook, etc. I like one site to keep up on the current news and interesting information and feeling comfortable sharing thoughts with like-minded people is a plus. I am technologically challenged so it is a struggle to learn and try new things so I appreciate input from people I trust. Have a great Christmas! We have a big family gathering so it should be busy but fun.

I like voat/v/GreatAwakening. It was my only source for news and information. It's easy to use. It has a community feel to it, and that's important. Gab is cold and you feel isolated from everyone else. Not a lot of new posts in the groups I've been following. Many other problems as well.

Other sites like thedonald.win don't appear to have sub groups, so it's too busy with everything thrown together.

This site is a lot like voat but I'm still having a few problems figuring out how to handle the comment replies page (whatever you call it). It isn't designed quite as well as voat's. But I'll figure it out.

Have a merry Christmas and don't eat the whole turkey by yourself.

I'll be sad to see v/greatawakening gone however, aside from some well written and researched original ops (like from me) everything posted there can be found at the following news sources:

wnd.com

nypost.com

townhall.com

madison.com

bongino.com

gatewaypundit.com

bigleaguepolitics.com

spectator.com

dailycaller.com

zerohedge.com

redstateradio.com

epochtimes.com

truepundit.com

and then of course dozens of private chans like x22, redpill, etc

Personally, I liked the mix. Having people post interesting and Q / awakening related topics (and/or links to topics on other news sites) was a great way to consolidate information. Searching many of those other news sites for relevant information can be very tedious. After spending some time on gatewaypundit, I quickly began to appreciate people posting the items worth reading - it was much faster than searching them out on my own.

I also think that helped to keep the research topics relevant and in focus. Seriously, if all you had were a few dozen people posting original research as they found stuff and had time, there would only be a few posts a day, there wouldn't be as much traffic, and the place would likely end up with more shills than posters. It's one of those things were you have to be careful of what you wish for.

I haven't seen where to post a submission. I'm sure it's hiding in plain sight. I don't post a lot but I may have something to post one day. I think I have read everything but I must have missed it. Can you help me out?

See that little pencil symbol at the top-right of the screen? Click on that and chose one of the three options.

MeWe and Parler are no different. Demons screaching and searching for pack order.

Parler app is a chore... no dark mode and looks like shit on a tablet.

3 months trying to get signed in. 30min to leave never looking back.

Voat was always my 1st go to...then wearethenews (which is up and down). Currrently use 8kun q research to check notables.

I check GAB (greatawakening subverse) once in awhile and it is hard to find relevant info.

Still have a Twitter account, but again not the best info site unless directly follow certain accounts...and still difficult with the shadowbanning/censureship.

I am comfortable here. Anticipate it will just get better!

Thank you!

My problem with gab is that it isn't topic oriented. Posts get fragmented due to reposting so most of the commenters never see each other's comments. If you have a good idea, even a really good idea, it doesn't have a chance to really take hold and reach a large, interested audience.

The voat flow of information was better. Usenet was better still, but now I'm dating myself!

Usenet worked incredibly well. Very simple rather than bloated with unnecessary features. I'd love to go back to that design.

Another thing about usenet: the concept of "forum slide" didn't exist because news readers kept track of what you had or had not seen. You could catch up, marking everything as read, but you could also see a list of all threads that have new activity so you don't miss anything.

[–] 1 pt

They've purposely changed how these forum sites work in order to control us and push their shit on us.

We need to go back to the basics.

Usenet still exists. I think it's the perfect option. You can set up your group to be moderated or unmoderated. I just doubt anybody has created a phone app to read usenet groups.

I don't know that it's as decentralized as it was back in the day. One satisfying thing: even wikipedia today admits that the backbone cabal was real.

I'm also on Gab and I agree with you. Compared to Voat it sucks. I only went there when Voat went down which happened alot. When Voat closed for good, I found some other Q groups besides Neon Revolt's but since I've been here it's like...Voat! The same community! I see familiar names like Lurker17, Sheepdoggie, God'sAngel , LakotaPride and others. I love this place -great discussions, posts and research and that community feel that Gab doesn't have. I'm staying here. Love you guys! You're my 'goto" source for info. So glad we are all here. Where We Go One, We Go All isn't just a saying, it's real.

Worse. Been on there for a good while. Rarely post. Its rhe same posts over and over and over...... and the big name there is Neon Revolt. Meh....

Well, If you don't even bother trying to find like minded people then it will seem like nothing changes to you. Nothing in life is easy.

Tried GAB for a bit and then they changed. I left GAB and have been happy on Parler ever since.

I hope you come back to Gab, Parler is a honeypot in my opinion. If you would like help on finding that out I am here. Also Parler censors and shadowbans.. I hope you find the truth about many stuff.
