Escapism can literally happen with anything. Anime was the one of the last bastions of non jewed media, so it has a lot of value as a unique cultural form of art. Kids are dumb, and most of them grow out of that just like they grew out of their imaginary friends. I say let them have their cartoons it doesnt hurt compared to all the other shit out there.
There are grown men that are into that crap. People need to snap out of all this escapism as you call it. There is an actual world just offscreen.
While that’s a valid point, most of these teens and young adults entire lives revolve around anime culture. There is a point where escapism becomes dangerous. Not to mention Anime is littered with legal pedophilia as well as “Fem-boys”. To say it’s a last bastion away from non jewed media Is not true, it’s been jewed from the start.
