Here's what the Dem's may be planning re: delaying the vote count. And why Nan had the continuity of government meeting, saying she'd be #2 in line for the Presidency.
The Dems all of a sudden seem a little too confident in some plan. Here is what may be at play:
The Constitution’s 20th Amendment also requires the president and vice president to end their terms of office on January 20 at noon in the year following the general election. In addition to those basic constitutional requirements, Congress by statute controls when electoral votes are counted at the states and at Congress. The current statute reads that “the electors of President and Vice President of each State shall meet and give their votes on the first Monday after the second Wednesday in December next following their appointment at such place in each State as the legislature of such State shall direct.” This year, that day is December 14, 2020. Another part of the election law requires the states to send in their electoral votes to Congress by December 23, 2020. If electoral votes are not received by the fourth Wednesday in December, then the President of the Senate or the Archivist of the United States can use “the most expeditious method available” to get the votes sent to Congress. The electoral votes received by Congress are counted in a joint session at 1 p.m. on January 6. If a presidential or vice presidential candidate does not receive a majority of the electoral votes, the House selects the next president and the Senate selects the next vice president.
Does the Constitution allow for a delayed presidential election?
What all this means is that if there is a snag with all the mail in voting due to Covid-19 that does not indicate a clear winner, the House gets to chose the next president. POTUS's term constitutionally is up on Jan 20. This is why the Dems keep saying that they may have to physically remove POTUS if he refuses to go - curious?
Right now my understanding is that there are enough Republican run states that they could give POTUS the needed electoral votes by the delegates to clear the 270 threshold and send their votes in even if there is a problem with the mail ins. We did not expect to take the Democrat run states that are promoting mail in ballots - their plan is to delay the count to not have a clear winner. There are previous elections that still are not decided because of the mail in system. This is what is being set up. The Dems could care less about what the actual vote is - they are working on something entirely different to steal the election - they are planning to not have the results thereby giving the House the ability to chose the next president. This is why Nancy Pants and company had a meeting about continuity of government - they are planning this move.
POTUS's tweet the other day about a cancelled election was possibly to let us know what they are planning. Please pass this along for discussion. I do not put anything past them at this point and this maneuver would be completely constitutional and there would be nothing to stop them but exposure. So, we need to keep an eye on those Republican run states - if they go to mail in voting it could be an indication they will side with this latest coup attempt.

Every seat in the House of Representatives is up for election every even numbered year. The Speaker of the House is also elected for a two-year term. Nancy Pelosi’s term as Speaker expires at noon on January 3, 2021, and to continue as Speaker beyond that date, she must be re-elected to that position by the new House of Representatives.
She'll keep her seat in the House, but I don't think she'll be Speaker after 11/3. San Francisco loves her too much. The rest of the country, not so much. I'm fairly confident (80+%) we take the House back and gain seats in the Senate.
That's only if we secure the vote . . .
So ‘Congress’ will be comprised of Senators not up for re-election in November.

They may clear just enough Congressional seats to be able to be sworn in for a majority. They will try to only have the presidential results and possibly some major Senatorial picks up in the air. It may not be a brilliant plan and anything could go wrong - but that is not going to stop them from trying. They would have to clear Democratic congressional seats while at the same time suppressing the Republicans. I do not think they are going to have enough votes no matter how much they stuff those ballot boxes, so they just may go for the nuclear option. It may also explain why the Kenyan and others are pushing to get rid of the filibuster in the Senate - they have something planned.
They do always have a plan, in addition to the Prez our plan has to be to to take back Congress AND the Senate AND as many GOVERNORS as possible. Things are going to be heating up, I am not looking forward to the next few months but will keep my eye on the prize.
Well stated Patriot. We must not retreat which is exactly what the swamp wants us to do. We are in this fight whether we like it or not. Our part is to keep our elected officials on tract and to weed out the traitors where possible. Even in states where they will delay national votes, they have to allow congressional district votes to go through. That is going to be a hard one for them to pull off and will be very obvious if they only allow Democrat district winners. Some of the special elections in CA for example have flipped Republican already - a possible sign of things to come. This is not necessarily a good plan on the part of the swamp - but at this point it may be the only shot they have at stopping Trump from destroying them - even if it is a long shot. You are right in that it is going to be a bumpy ride the next several months - so buckle up partner.

Make sure those who are in Republican held states keep their legislatures on task and get opened up. Right now POTUS may be able to have the delegates needed to get him to the 270 threshold even if the results are delayed in Dem states. The best way is to hold regular open elections where people can go to the poles. That is the only way to thwart this swamp plan if that is where this is headed. They are desperate and will try anything at this point no matter how crazy. POTUS I think is trying to give us a head's up.
It actually could really backfire on democrats. Say their election results are delayed for many house seats and senate seats that were never even contested. They could give the republicans a temporary super majority.
It's also important for Republicans in dem states to fight for their Republican state legislatures because the next 'stars' of the Dem party and Republican party will be chosen from the state governments, we need to make sure no dems and no RINOs
Absolutely. I know that in CA there is a huge ground swell of disenfranchised and disillusioned citizens. I think the swamp is terrified of the backlash - another reason they are essentially shutting the vote down. The shutdown aside, Conservatives have not been in this good a position in decades. I know many Dem voters who will vote Republican because they realize how bad it has been have just one party rule in their state and they understand that a balance between the two is a better way to run the state - the are many also who leaving the plantation. With all the radicals in Democrat run state governments, any reversal of course at this point would be a plus.
This makes it even more important that Republican states get open now, so mail in votes are not used. I see dems muddying the waters about the word "safe", dems saying "mail in votes are safe" to mean safe for health to prevent covid-19 exposure, safe to mean we can trust mail delivery. Republicans talk about mail in votes as not safe (due to fraudulent voting potential) and that absentee ballots are safe (no fraud). The muddy word 'safe' is being tweeted a lot by dems to talk about something completely different than what Republicans are talking about as 'safe'.

One way to stop the democrat mail in voting scheme: Release intelligence assessment that China and other countries intend to use the mail in voting to impact our elections. Which is true. The Chinese were burning ballots by the thousands down in Houston.
I heard a version very similar to this on the radio the other night. We all know they will cheat as much as possible. Delay the "mail in" ballots so that a winner can't be declared before the time runs out. Pelosi will step in a President. May a UFO hit the Capitol bldg with her still in it.!!!!

What I don't understand is why voting even matters... The Electoral College selects the president for exactly this reason. As. Long as the electors make a selection then it doesn't matter.

Because the "electors" are supposed to cast their vote for which ever candidate carried their state. 2 states have a different set up, Maine/Nebraska.
That is why the Republican held states must stay on track and stay open. I believe there are enough delegates to put Trump at the 270 threshold he needs. But that will depend on those states not flipping. If they can hold their elections and get the results in the Dems can do all the gymnastics they want with their delays. This is about the only maneuver they have at this point because they know they are looking at a huge backlash even in the Dem states. There are a few races out there where the results are still not known to this day - I think that was the test run. We just need to keep our eyes on those Republican states and keep their feet to the fire.
Most of the congressional results will be finalized. It is the presidential results and Senatorial races that could be held up and that could be the goal. An individual district can have results, but it is the statewide election results for Senators and the President that can be delayed. It doesn't have to be a brilliant plan but they really don't have many options at this point. All they will need is a congressional majority to chose a president. But, as long as the Republican held states can get their delegate votes in by the deadline, all their conniving will be for not. I could be wrong, but I think there are 28 Republican held states that could get him the delegates he needs. It will be a nail bitter to the end. God help us.
The House is the key here. All are up for reelection - so they have to pull off a Democrat majority to make their plan work. The logistics of this is mind-boggling. Like the previous special elections in CA that flipped Republican, many districts may also flip due to voter backlash. They are not going to be able to suppress enough of those seats without appearing obvious.
We need to take control of the narrative and there are currently people starting to get out and protest themselves. We need to do that in mass. The Dems have opened it up by allowing "peaceful protests," so two can play that game. If this is what they are trying to pull off the turnout needs to be so overwhelming that they cannot deny it. I like the term kamikaze - because that is what I believe this plan is. It is all they have left.
