Yep. They are going to sanitize everything in that school. Get the janitor. The problem is the janitor would probably use bleach on everything which works on bacteria, but scrubbing surfaces with what to a virus is basically just water, only spreads viruses around.
Having restaurant experience I can confirm. The more you clean with sanitizer (required by health department because they care about bacteria), the more your employees get sick (with minor viral infections). When we went crazy with sanitizing during H1N1 I was permanently slightly sick for all the weeks we did that and so was everyone else.
Pretty much the only common household sanitizer that I've seen that claims to do anything about viruses is Lysol. Soap works too because it helps removes pathogens physically rather than just spread them around like bleach does.
Edit: Alcohol hand sanitizer does kill viruses. Just looked it up.
