Internal Employee Boeing Emails Say 737 Max ‘Designed by Clowns’
(Note: not the CIA type clowns......they are talking about real stupid clowns.)
“This airplane is designed by clowns, who in turn are supervised by monkeys,” said one company pilot in messages to a colleague in 2016....

“Would you put your family on a MAX simulator trained aircraft? I wouldn’t.” “I’ll be shocked if the FAA passes this turd.”

“Best part is we are re-starting this whole thing with the 777X with the same supplier and have signed up to an even more aggressive schedule!”
“Jesus, it’s doomed.”
In one exchange about the Max flight simulators, an employee said, “honesty is the only way in this job -- integrity when lives are on the line on the aircraft and training programs shouldn’t be taken with a pinch of salt. Would you put your family on a MAX simulator trained aircraft? I wouldn’t.”
“These newly released emails are incredibly damning,” said U.S. Representative Peter DeFazio, an Oregon Democrat who chairs a committee that is investigating Boeing and the Max.
...“They paint a deeply disturbing picture of the lengths Boeing was apparently willing to go to in order to evade scrutiny from regulators, flight crews, and the flying public, even as its own employees were sounding alarms internally,” DeFazio said in a statement.

“Notwithstanding the inappropriate tone and content of some of these communications, we have examined these issues closely and remain confident in our regulatory processes relating to the Max airplane and simulators.”
Translation? Shut the fuck up!!! Stop telling the unvarnished truth in EMAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder how many of these employees got fired for these emails.
Lets face it: these emails came from conscientious employees who were terribly frustrated with what they could see was going on, and ZERO ability to get ANYone in Top Management to listen (or understand, maybe mgmt was too stupid to understand), much less respond to their concerns. The management of a company is a two way street, two way communication......from the Top down, of course, but the best companies ALSO have from bottom up to the top communication. But not Boeing. Its one way all the way, and anyone who dares complain or raise a serious issue gets shot down, harassed and probably fired. Not exactly a conducive environment for two-way communication.
It gets worse, ready to read the FAA (the Regulators) Response???
The FAA said it has reviewed the Boeing messages and found that “nothing in the submission pointed to any safety risks that were not already identified as part of the ongoing review of proposed modifications to the aircraft.”
Oh really??? Is that before or after they interviewed the Authors of these emails to get a list of all the things that are wrong with each plane and/or simulator???
Oh, they never interviewed these employees to find out WHY they said all these things about the 737 MAX? Got it.
The FAA is part of the problem!
The FAA is NOT a Watch Dog, it is a lap dog, obeying its Master who is Boeing Management.......yes the Management Team who approved the 737 MAX for flight safety and for sale to innocent trusting customers (the airlines).....resulting in the deaths of 400 people.
My question is: WHO monitors the FAA to make sure they are doing their job???? No one? That's what I thought.
Boeing needs a massive shake up AT THE TOP Management Level....THAT is what these emails point to.....TOP Management with WRONG PRIORITIES, terribly Corrupt Corporate Culture......who are now assigned with Cleaning Up the MESS THEY themselves have made with their own corrupt values!

The first day on the job, the new CEO should fire all of Top Management and bring in some Fresh Blood, with Fresh Eyes, and Fresh Brains who understand the meaning of Big Words like: Integrity, Honesty, Due Diligence, Accountability, Attention to Detail, Excellence......etc, etc....and actually have some (aeronautical and propulsion) engineering skills, so they can make intelligent decisions. I wonder how DIVERSE Boeing Management is. Remember DIVERSITY is Boeing's TOP PRIORITY, NOT Excellence!
Here's an idea: Hire back all the White Male Engineers that used to make Excellent Boeing Products! There's an idea!
And where the hell is Boeing's Internal Audit Department in all this??? Missing in action??? Incompetent too? Or just too intimidated by Sr Boeing Management??
If you don't hear of a BIG shake up at Boeing Top Management (with heads rolling), then I would not fly Boeing either. (If the Boeing employees won't fly Boeing, why should you???)
Airbus doesn't seem to have the same type of problems. When you make your flight reservations, you can request a flight on an Airbus plane.
