With the newest iteration of NAFTA (USMCA), the working together of these 3 North American countries with contiguous borders should create a strong engine for US-based businesses. This translates into more and better-paying jobs for USCs. It also builds up our economy when it goes through its current transition from having many of our US businesses based abroad and strengthening foreign economies - instead of our own - as it used to be.
DJT needs to be re-elected, so he’s doing what he needs to do to keep the Fed. on a tight leash to stimulate US trade. Note, however, that Mexican factory workers will make at least $16/ hour, which is more than many USCs make here! In order to keep Mexicans from sneaking into the US to live and work, the salary needs to be stabilized on both sides of the border.
