From what I have been able to gather, pulling pranks on people in public for "clout" is a big thing online. I am very glad I don't live in one of the areas where it's common.

I think the bee suit woman tells them to shut their eyes to protect them from stings. It looks like she always points at their face and says something. But I'm with you, I can't see just blindly panicking like that.
