I think the Pentagon decided to try out some of its new subliminal tech in this movie. We all know that Hollywood has to get the approval from the Pentagon before it can make a military movie, because it needs the use of such things as jets and aircraft carriers, which are too expensive to buy. So Hollywood had to agree to certain terms set by military intelligence -- how to present the US military to the public. My strong suspicion is that this movie was used as a test platform by the Pentagon to test out some of its subliminal tech. That is why this is so inexplicably popular. Think about it? It's just a typical action movie, right? Why the intense emotional response? Because everyone loves Tom Cruise? No, it's because the emotional strings of the audience were being pulled throughout the movie. I noticed this while I was watching it. I was getting emotional when there was no reason to get emotional, and the musical score alone was not enough to account for this. There is some Deep State sneaky shit going on here that apparently nobody, except me, has realized.

I’m not reading that much into it. I think those who really appreciate the new sequel are just genuine fans of the first movie. The original came out when I was like 4 years old. My little brother and me grew up watching it with my dad and grandfather. Grandfather was a pilot his whole life and my family was big into aviation. And the movie I think was at least partly responsible for my little brother wanting to join the Navy, and he eventually did go to the Naval Academy and was in for like 10+ years. But again, he also just had a love for flying passed down from grandpa and even our great grandmother had a pilots license. I guess you can call that propaganda? 🤷‍♂️ The pentagon did at some point say that movie shot up enlistment/interest like crazy.

For us, it’s just nostalgia and the fact that they finally made a sequel to a movie for which we all wanted to have a sequel.

I for one, am not a Hollywood fan and avoid 99% of the shit they put out. This was the first time I’d been to a theater in probably a decade.

I thought it was a really good movie, personally. And FFS, how about the fact that there was literally ZERO “woke bullshit” in the entire thing? I mean, c’mon, give me a hallelujah for that, if for nothing else!

There were some woke bullshit like the female pilot and racially diverse male pilots.

Well, I mean there are female military pilots. You do know this, right? And there are people of other races in all roles..you do know this, as well?

When I say "woke bullshit", I'm talking about shit where they're trying to push some sort of sexually degenerate agenda. Like if they made the story about Maverick turning gay and his love affair with Iceman who decided to be trans and then adopt 5 chinese kids to feel good about himself.

THAT would be what I would consider "woke".

THIS movie is hardly THAT.
