Heuristics are to AI as derivatives are to multiple integrals, I think. AI are heuristics that are self modifying. The modifications are not readable or comprehensible to human intellects after a single self-modification pass.....and there are many passes. That's my take in a nutshell...and like all similes or metaphors, it's not a perfect fit to the reality.
