SI (simulated intelligence) erroneously called AI
I've never heard of that distinction. What's the difference between simulated intelligence and artificial intelligence? I hope you won't respond by saying that a computer can't be intelligent, it can only fake intelligence without a good reason to back that up.
It's pretty simple. "Intelligence" in the context of what people are attempting to achieve is referencing human intelligence. Artificial Intelligence in this context would be replicating intelligence exactly the same as humans. The general consensus is that we have only scratched the surface in this arena. With this in mind, we have only simulated what we are trying to achieve.
