I wouldn't use it just because they introduced generics. Go's sweet spot is it's cloud friendly footprint and language simplicity (almost to a fault, hence the lack of generics for years).

Almost anything I would use Go for AWS Lambda has covered in much friendlier languages/environment anyway so I won't be revolutionizing my toolchain anytime soon. But for the last couple of years I've been paying attention more to politics than to programming and staying in my niche. Time to reconnect with that stuff and see what's going on.
