I've done that before. I have also written code using racist words as variable names AND wrote code on purpose to do nothing at all but look like it's critical.

EDIT: Come to think about it I never did find out if they ever figured out the bogus code I inserted was bogus or not. That was one place I really didn't trust any coworkers to follow up with.
