Honestly.. I would probably just save some extra $$$ and go straight to 10GbE. From what I have read there are a LOT of shoddy 2.5GbE devices out there that just don't work very well. I guess if you want/need 2.5G and don't want to break the bank it's worth it but I would still just save some money and go for 10G.

From the post:

>The Ubiquiti Flex Mini 2.5G has been a highly requested review on STH since we launched The Ultimate Cheap Fanless 2.5GbE Switch Buyers Guide. This is a 5-port 2.5GbE switch also known as the USW-Flex-2.5G-5. Low power, PoE-in, and UniFi management make it quite different. At the same time, we opened it up and found that it is the same internal chipset powering some of the 4-port 2.5GbE and 2-port 10G switches that are under $30, which we had not seen anyone go into detail on previously.

They just released a free local management tool like a month or so ago. Every access point I’ve ever touched has a web based setup that was minimal to just hook up and bridge traffic. Can’t manage without the cloud or local app.

It’s one reason I dont use ubiquity. But now you have a tool. Fuck off you should have never shit canned it in the first place.
