Honestly.. I would probably just save some extra $$$ and go straight to 10GbE.
From what I have read there are a LOT of shoddy 2.5GbE devices out there that just don't work very well.
I guess if you want/need 2.5G and don't want to break the bank it's worth it but I would still just save some money and go for 10G.
