Exif data is a thing. However, it doesn't really matter anymore. Several AI models are good enough they can accurately "guess" a location from one or two pictures.

From the post:

>Take a photo on any digital camera or smartphone and it's not just the pixels that are saved. The image also gets a bunch of metadata appended to it, also known as EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) data, including details of when it was taken, the device that was used to capture it, and the camera settings that were used.

FYI Poal automatically strips off all EXIF data when you upload an image.

That is very appreciated. I still strip it but that is good to know.

Like that time I used to photoshop in the guy with the backpack standing on top of the World Trade Center to many of my public photos…. Good times.

You know he rode the rubble to the bottom and walked away.

Then was raped by a jew a week later.

turn every setting under the sun off on your mobile device, minimize battery, turn off default settings in apps, turn off background data access and disable every location request for every app including google and android itself. The only location setting that can't be turned off is called "persistent location" and it appears to be baked into the os.

Unless you actually need location settings, turn that shit off.
