Wow. A connected device that's designed to report everything you do to it's cloudy parent is reporting everything you do to it's cloudy parent, regardless of what you wish.

The bigger point is that google claimed that they were cutting support/services for the devices entirely and said them being "online" is a privacy risk.. Seems like Google is the risk to privacy (as if we didn't know that already).

They don't want to support you or the device anymore but they sure as fuck still want your data.

Google telling me their name is Google means I'm going to ask them for a source on that information. They aren't even in the "Trust but Verify" category - there is no trust implied with them. They are slimy slime and that insults the slime.
